Crewe Heritage Centre is open between Easter and September offering visitors a chance to sample a bit of local history. Whilst we are open every weekend, on selected weekends Crewe Heritage Centre holds special events throughout the year featuring a wide range of attractions and special visitors and these are detailed below:

2012 is an important year for us at Crewe Heritage Centre!

2012 marks 175 years since the railways first arrived, leading to the development of the town we now know as Crewe.

2012 also marks 25 years since Queen Elizabeth opened Crewe Heritage Centre.

The year kicks off on the Jubilee Weekend as the Mayor of Crewe will launch of the 'Crewe 175 : Celebrating Crewe's Heritage 1837-2012' exhibition in the main Exhibition Hall.

21st July sees a special exhibition to celebrate 25 Years of Crewe Heritage Centre.

The year will close on 7th October with a signalling gala organised by the Exeter West Group.

If you have any photos, documents or artefacts relating to the history of Crewe or the Heritage Centre and would be happy to see them on display, please get in contact with us.

In addition to the above celebrations, a number of further events are in the process of being organised so please watch this space for further details!
