Welcome to the Internet page of the Regional Consular Centre for the United Kingdom and Ireland. This Centre is attached to the Embassy of Switzerland in the United Kingdom, in London. From 1 May 2012 it will be responsible for consular affairs for both the United Kingdom and Ireland.
The Regional Consular Centre for the UK and Ireland is responsible for all matters concerning Swiss residents or tourists in the UK and Ireland. Apart from providing assistance to travellers with serious problems, the Centre deals with services such as registration, providing identity documents, the registration of data concerning civil status (marriage, birth etc) and responding to questions about the Swiss pension system and the exercise of civil rights from abroad. Besides consular matters, the Regional Consular Centre also issues visas for travel to Switzerland for residents living in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
There are more than 32,000 Swiss nationals resident in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The Regional Consular Centre aims to be a reliable and competent partner providing high quality, effective services.
