Switzerland is a founding member of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and one of its most important donors (ranked third on average over the past 20 years). It particularly supports UNIDO’s work in the fields of industrial efficiency (“cleaner production”) and trade capacity building. Switzerland is a member of the Industrial Development Board (IDB), UNIDO’s principal governing body, as well as of its Programme and Budget Committee (PBC).
