Vienna hosts the UN Office on Outer Space Affairs (OOSA) as well as the meetings of the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (COPUOS), a subsidiary body of the UN General Assembly. Switzerland is an active member of COPUOS and also participates in the work of its Scientific and Technical as well as Legal Subcommittee.

Three of the six working groups of the UN Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) hold regular meetings in Vienna. Switzerland is an active member of UNCITRAL.
